Reviews for Jay Peak
A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
If you’re a good skier and like off-piste stuff, Jay Peak is absolutely a destination! They frequently get knee deep powder and the wood trails are some of the best in the country! ... Full Review
This is great for family and great for expert skiers ( mostly children ) because they have lots of woods and as an expert skier this is great for experts and intermediates. The only reason this isn’t the best for beginners is because there will be racers and intermediate/expert skiers speeding down the green and blue trails.... Full Review
I think is fine for a family and pro skiing the prices are too high and service is not good. The food is
Awful, no espresso, no gym in the hotel, no hot tub in the hotel no Stem room in the hotel? Stowe and white face have this. If your European don’t go.... Full Review
We were there for what has to be the coldest I've ever been - windchill at negative 17 (and that's being generous). Overall I loved the experience, there is so much pow!!! The descent is really fun. The scenery is sooo beautiful, but unfortunately I don't think this resort is best for snowboarding. amazing terrain all day with tons to do after, including a massive indoor water park! ... Full Review
Any review that doesn't contain the words "trees" and "snow" isn't worth reading. This place has the best snow on the east coast bar none and among the best terrain (Mad River Glen and Stowe are also both awesome in this regard). The tree skiing there is unrivaled. This isn't the place to go if you're looking for groomers, but if off-piste is your jam, Jay simply can't be beat.... Full Review
About a quarter or so of people in the lift lines either have no mask on, or don't have a mask on correctly (eg. not over the nose). I have been skiing about 8 times at Jay Peak so far this year, and this experience has been consistent. The Jet lift is the one where people wear masks the least, maybe because its a little out of the way. Over the past 2 weeks or so, some lift workers ask some people from time to time who are most blatantly not wearing masks to do so, but they ask one person from time to time and turn a blind I to the others around them. All in all, Covid precautions are pretty lax at Jay.... Full Review
MY experience is just the opposite of JS. Been there 8 times this year. Masks strictly enforced.... Full Review
