spent 10 days at brian head this past 20-21 season. this resort is perfect for family and intermediate skiers. gentle slopes are well groomed and maintained. giant step quad express and navajo quad dexpress are two high speed modern lifts that can quickly take skiers to the top of the two main mountains. but the remaining 6 lifts are all outdated, slow fixed grips that go only 8 feet per second. they don't even have restraint guards. it's a torture to sit on them on colder days. the copper chase condo is ski out, but not ski in and you have to hike a couple of hundred yards back after an exhausted day! the condo's facilities are not in the perfect shape, either. overall it was a good experience. ... I’ve been coming here for 40 years and love it. Yeah it’s not Alta , but I live in St. George and it’s my local area.
Pray for snow!... Full Review

Brian head! Please don’t go corporate and forget local patrons. Open terrain please! Stop blaming low snow conditions and start managing the mountain appropriately! Idk know if I’ll be purchasing a season passes next year. ... Full Review
They are ruining Brian Head for real skiers/riders. Plan on groomers with ropes on both sides! Plan on harassment over mask wearing and uphill travel. I have seen lots of this. Even in poor snow years before Mtn Capital Partners took over BH, it was OPEN. MCP are blaming the poor experience on snow and even on the Town of Brian Head, but don't believe it. Just go check their other ski areas like Snow Bowl. $100 passes and half the mountain closed. Enough already! We know how to ski rocks! Look at how they operate Alta, Park City, and all those world class resorts in low-snow conditions! You're a bunch of nannies, scared of your own lawyers. Read the back of your lift tickets! MCP you're in Utah now and it's time to get with the program.... Full Review
We have been going to Brian Head for decades with our family! It has such an awesome family friendly vibe. You can ski/board, tube, snow mobile at Thunder Mountain Motorsports and also this year Ice Skate outdoors at a new rink that was built basically on the mountain.
If your looking for a super challenging double black diamond mountain with a typical big mountain downtown with lots of bars, restaurants, movie theater(s) and pretentious people looking to be seen with big city ”it’s all about me” attitudes and dress, please go to another mountain resort!!
If your looking for a low key, cost effective, relaxing time in the mountains for you and your family with no pretentiousness and wonderful kind visitors and resort staff, Brian Head might be a place for you! Brian Head Resort is an outstanding mountain for those that love to ski/board, snowmobile, tube/sled, snowshoe (rentals available at Brian Head Sports & George’s) and enjoy the outdoors while a good time at night would include reading by a fire or watching a good movie on DVD With your family at your hotel or cabin/condo rental like VRBO property 687830.
Hope this review helps! We love Brian Head Resort and have made many great family memories over the year! ... Full Review
This is a resort you want to go to if you are looking for a SMALL town, not a big line resort. Everyone on this mountain, workers and riders and very friendly. You have 2 sections of the mountain. Beginner and advance. ( not a mountain if you are use to ski resorts like Alta Brighton exc. ) this has for been my favorite resort to visit, ( being from northern UT ) it’s a must go to resort!!!!... Full Review
BH was great for our entire family. The ski in / ski out cabin made the entire experience convenient and flexible. Great for family and those not good at standing in line.... Full Review
We plan a ski trip once and sometimes twice a year to Brianhead. This year we called ahead to the resort to make sure we could us passes that we had, they told us over the phone we could. When we arrived the had a sign up saying this day was a black out. It wasn’t a holiday weekend just a normal Saturday in February. So we were unable to use our passes and we were not the only ones. But like everyone else we had traveled so we stayed paid and skied. So dishonest we are done patronizing Brianhead town and ski resort ... Full Review
