Reviews for Terry Peak Ski Area
A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Went with my teenage son for a day. The weather was great which meant it was super busy. The lift lines were a free for all and total chaos. My board took a huge beating here between the lift lines and unmarked rocks on the runs. The runs all felt very much the same as well. Some were more steep, some less steep, but all were more or less straight and open. We ended up cutting the day very short and won't bother making the drive again.... Full Review
No it’s not like skiing the big resorts but who really wants to ski 3,500ft elevation in one run? I had a blast ripping turns on all of the blue and black runs at Terry Peak. Lines were short and the lifts are modern and fast. Ticket prices are cheaper than my Minnesota hills and the skiing is way better. ... Full Review
Loved the mountain its was over all great the kids loved it ... Full Review
Learn to ski here. Good vibe can be crowded when terrain isn't open. Can be expensive if only 5 runs are open even with discount. But they are the only game around. If you find yourself near its automatic. If you find yourself in a car and five or more hours longer ride to a destination. You have a decision to make. Pick well. ... Full Review
This is one of the most afforable resorts. Lift tickets, food, and drinks are so afforable. No $18 dollar hamburgers here like at other ski resorts. My family enjoyed it. Staff is friendly. Only issue was four runs were unavaible because one lift only runs Friday to Monday. ... Full Review
Small area feel but has 3 high speed quads! Lines are short. Over 1100 vertical feet. Excellent snowmaking and grooming. Lots of good quality ski and snowboard rentals available. Great ski school. Food was great and not too expensive. Fun band after skiing on weekends. Very affordable compared to Colorado or Jackson or Big Sky.... Full Review

Terry Peak has been my home for over 30 years and I've been skiing here since I was 2 years old. Terry Peak has a great variety of runs for people of all skill levels. It's an awesome hill for families, especially if you're rearing your kids to ski - their magic carpet and bunny hill has the perfect balance to get your kid's ski-legs up and going. For intermediate to experts, Terry has 3 high speed quads, around 30 runs with some decent vertical, and two lodges, with arguably the coziest bar in the hills at the Dark Horse Saloon. Terry Peak is a hill you can find yourself at no matter your age. It's not Aspen Extreme - it's a quality of life and lifetime sport hill that's engaging and allows you to pass the sport on to future generations. ... Full Review
Like I said, good for beginners and bad for people that are good. Word of advice to pros don't be going out and buying new skis and bringing them here. They will get absolutely destroyed. ... Full Review
