Colorado is the place to be this weekend. 1-3 feet of snow on the way.

A powerful jet stream will direct rich moisture and strong orographic snowfall into the West between Thursday and Sunday. I'm forecasting 1-3 feet of accumulation at many ski resorts in California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado. Expect two distinct snow waves carried through by a large storm system. The flow of moisture almost resembles an atmospheric river pattern carried far inland by the jet.

Tomer's Take for the best snow this weekend:

Friday is Jackson Hole, Snowbasin, Alta or Snowbird. On Saturday, ski Steamboat, Monarch, Loveland, Breckenridge, or Vail. On Sunday, ski Wolf Creek, Monarch, or Taos.
