I went there 1/4/17 around 5pm. I went to the south base and wasn't sure where the entrance was to park and a staff member readily helped me and told me where I could buy tickets after asked. I went inside and bought my ticket 1/2 price because of my military status. I then went upstairs to the shop where Mike the tech was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and eager to help me rewax, buff, and clean up my edges. He also showed me how to work with a new binding system that I hadn't used before. Took him less 5 minutes of actuall work and would spent as much time as needed explains things or talking shop with me. Great guy. I tried to check my gear with the free ski check when I needed a break. The attendant said he wasn't allowed to take any more equipment in because they were closing but said he'd watch my stuff if I put it on the outside. I went in to the concession area there wasn't a clerk operating the cashier so this kid takes off his gloves and runs from behind the cooking area to ring me up. I spoke with a public safety guy and he too was super nice and very helpful. Overall not a bad mountain at all. Skiing open from 9-9 is pretty convenient. Only took an hour and fifty minutes from eastern suffolk county on Long Island. I saw 3 peaks though thy claim 4. There was a bit of ice, which you should expect it's the east coast and it's at the end of the day. With that said there was also these really nice areas of powder that I got some awesome carves out of. Have fun.
