Great runs, family friendly best mountain around.... Full Review
This is a great place to come especially if you are learning how to ski or if you are right above that level. There are several trails that are great for learning.... Full Review
I've skied at Jiminy a lot over the past 20 years or so and they usually do a pretty good job. I went there this past week and considering the weather, the snow was okay. The food on the other hand - they have changed there menu, which I thought would be a nice change. I ordered a chicken parm (new menu item) and it was REALLY poor. It a couple chicken fingers, on a white bread roll, a little marina sauce and un-melted cheese. All this for only $14.00. If you go, bring your own food. ... Full Review
The resort is obviously NOT adhering to covid/mass laws regarding maximum guests. The lots are full and plates are from most of the surrounding states. Guess Baker has no respect from this resort. Putting their pockets above personell safety. Good luck... Full Review
This is our local weekend mountain and our favorite of the smaller mountains within 3 hours of NYC. Less hectic than Hunter with a good variety of terrain. Very family oriented so if you have small kids that are learning to ski this is a great place to spend a weekend (or if you're a novice adult this mountain is a great place to learn and improve). Have had friends rent gear with no complaints.
Only downside is the high-speed chair sometimes gets super busy, if you stick to the side chairs you can have quicker runs and alternate between either side of the mountain. Many of the blue/blacks we've found to be icy, but the straight blues have been a dream and there's enough blacks/double blacks to keep it interesting for more advanced skiers. Wouldn't recommend for a weekend if you're only looking for difficult terrain, you will get bored quickly.
If you're out for the day with your less experienced friends/fam, you can do multiple routes down the mountain with lots of spots to meet up so everyone gets a good run in.
Lunch time gets busy, especially with current COVID measures in place so would recommend stopping to eat early or waiting until later. Holiday weekends get pretty packed as well but they've done a good job limiting the number of people on the mountain and it's been a good experience this year. Parking is easy with multiple overflow lots and very quick shuttles running constantly.... Full Review
Unsafe to be on the mountain. The lifts were overcrowded (waited for 42min to load), the crowd was rowdy, cutting the line left and right, standing/crossing over your skies. There was NO staff to take control of the anarchy. NO SNOW PATROLS. I got hit by a snowboarder (from the back in a full speed), sustained an injury from that fall (cracked of a thumb on the right hand). I am an intermediate skier. I ended the skiing since I did not feel safe for me or for my daughter on this mountain. ... Full Review
Great fun mountain with a nice variety of terrain.... Full Review
While a chairlift was down. There seemed to be a confusion on the radios. The mechanic kept getting cut off by patrollers when trying to communicate with a mechanic at the top of the mountain. One would think the mechanic should have priority when a lift was down. Don't patrollers have a different radio. ... Full Review
snow is great, nice simple ski destination very family friendly; plenty of challenging runs, good food, not too fancy schmancy, lifts are accessible. ... Full Review
If your a decent skier don't waste your time going here. No Gondola and we got bored very quickly, each trail seemed the same. The grooming was horrible. Twigs and branches all over a lot of the trails.
No light life or restaurants except 2 in their small village, and they were not that great.
Not really any close restaurants by, except Powder Hounds, which we did not try.
Not that much in the village if you want to shop, ""Just Jiminy"" was way overpriced for what they had, and not a big selection.
The first day in our condo, we lost power, and the mountain was closed for day. The power continued to go on and off for about the first 2 hours and then it was ok.
So we went shopping to Bershire Mall about 20 min. away......All the stores in there were mostly closed and it was mostly deserted....a very creepy feeling....... I would not recommend this place unless you have small kids that are learning, even with that there are better mountains to go to..........We will not be coming back...... Full Review
