Great runs, great powder (when), cheap lodging
LIFTS, windy, weather

This was my 4th trip to Chillan and although it has the best and most exhilarating runs, we are considering swearing it off for good because of the painfully slow and clunky lifts, that usually malfunction and really keep you the whole day freezing while ascending at turtle-pace. Also, weather is usually stormy and windy, which may lead to an epic powder day, but if you are not here long enough you may not hit that day and walk away very frustrated (2 of my 4 trips have been like this). On its favor, awesome runs and backcountry, hot springs, casino, and cheap lodging 10 miles away in Valle Las Trancas, beatiful powdery and dry snow.
