The mountain seems to be run by people with little to no experience, don’t think the general manager actually skis or snowboards. It is key for the role of general manager to understand ski operation management and to be a passionate skier or snowboarder to experience what the customers are experiencing. They need a new strategy on how to deal with grooming and opening runs, parking lot is so disorganized. Most weekends the lifts are open late. Don’t get me started on the snow maintenance of the road up to Mount Washington. I understand that it’s not the responsibility of the resort, but the amount of accidents and close calls that I see every weekend when there’s snow is not acceptable. Ownership needs to invest in the snow clearing of the road on top of the contractor, why take the risk of having customers injured or worse killed on that road. I have had a ski pass for five years and will continue to ski there because it’s my only choice, that’s probably why we will never see change.
Could be great mountain experience
Mountain experience sucks overall lack of leadership.

Used to be a family friendly kind of mountain. Now the new owners want it to be a mini vail or something I’ve never seen it so busy in the past 11 years they’ve made the coffee shop and food cafeteria all fancy jacked up the prices it’s like they completely switched their customer base if you want to wait half an hour just for chair up the mountain Mount washington will be perfect for you.
Lots of runs three chairlifts good snow
Not a family mountain anymore! so busy ! Short staffed barley any ski patrol

Poor grooming on green & blue runs makes for scary descents; skidoo’s running in the middle of the runs, and people skipping the lineups as there is no one to organize skiers to the chairs
Generally good weather; good eating facilities
Poor grooming on slopes, not enough parking

I have been riding Mt. Washington for 20 years now and they set the bar for low standards. Think of amenities you love at other hills and they doing at about 65%. Food- sub par. Apres- boring and limited Park- barely Terrain- limited and prone to not opening Just a few examples... I have ridden 32 years in many places from Lake Louis to Whistler and Baker. I don't know if it's because it's the only real hill on the island but they just don't try. This hill is in serious need of top ski hill advising to get it into the next level of being... good enough instead of just okay.
Big dumps accumulate quickly. Great for family and kids

Was so excited to go tubing with the kid. Got there, was lucky to get tickets for last time slot 5-6pm. Was lucky to get 2 rides down. Only 2 of 3 lanes open at start, then down to only 1 for the adults because of snow conditions being too fast for adults in the other lane. So total gong show. Huge wait times, everyone pissed off. Total disappointment. Policy of No refunds. Ripped off in restaurant $32 for fries and gravy? Extremely dangerous traumatic drive down the mountain road in dense fog and total darkness - no lighting!!! Crawling down searching for the road - absolute nightmare. Unbelievably crap care for customers road safety.
It's on the island so no ferry trips
Dangerous unlit road, extremely poorly organized, RIP off

Having read some other reviews I see now that I was not the only skier who saw that the grooming of the ski hill was ok at best this year, I even fell in January ‘19 because of the poor grooming on Sunset (easy way down??); needless to say I missed out on most of the season. Also I find a lot of the skidoos pass down / up in the middle of the run! I have never seen that before at Mt. W..

I love the mountain, so close to town. But I find the rates expensive for what is offered. Also I am recovering from injuries so need to stay on the easiest runs and have to use the magic carpet, which I hate. That jerky start is very jolting and I know 2 people personally who have fallen getting on it. I won’t be buying a pass this year.
Close to town

9th year skiing here and probably the worst so far. New ownership does not seem to care whatsoever about the horrendous grooming or better yet the lack or non existent grooming. I see older people, beginners, kids, ski patrol in survival mode to get down the hill safely. In talking with a lot of folks, I have yet to hear one single positive comment regarding the grooming and conditions. PEOPLE ARE NOT ENJOYING SKIING. The Mt. does not care to advise its paying customers as to what their solution is. They have new groomers but perhaps they have not yet used them. Certainly seems that way! I think pass holders should receive at least half of their hard earned money back for service not being rendered. Very sad situation!
beautiful scenery
