Stowe/Vail Resorts has done a terrible job managing Mt Mansfield. We recently visited and after paying $130+ per ticket, spend the entire day on a beginners lift because all other lifts had been shut down .... because of 10 mph winds. I have skied my entire life all over North America and have never experienced anything like it - basically an entire mountain was shut down because of 10 mph winds ... basically a light breeze. This led to 40 minute waits to get on a beginners chair, it was MISERABLE. I contacted customer service, because of course 90% of the terrain wasn’t serviced that day and was basically told to go pound sand. Welp, that’s ok - but your mountain is overpriced and horribly run. My suggestion for anyone who plans on skiing at Stowe - look at the forecast and if there is ANY wind, don’t bother.
