Overall I loved the experience, there is so much pow!!! The descent is really fun. The scenery is sooo beautiful, but unfortunately I don't think this resort is best for snowboarding. Due to the terrain and lack of incline, multiple times I (and other riders) had to undo our bindings in order to move. ... Full Review

Any review that doesn't contain the words "trees" and "snow" isn't worth reading. This place has the best snow on the east coast bar none and among the best terrain (Mad River Glen and Stowe are also both awesome in this regard). The tree skiing there is unrivaled. This isn't the place to go if you're looking for groomers, but if off-piste is your jam, Jay simply can't be beat.... Full Review

About a quarter or so of people in the lift lines either have no mask on, or don't have a mask on correctly (eg. not over the nose). I have been skiing about 8 times at Jay Peak so far this year, and this experience has been consistent. The Jet lift is the one where people wear masks the least, maybe because its a little out of the way. Over the past 2 weeks or so, some lift workers ask some people from time to time who are most blatantly not wearing masks to do so, but they ask one person from time to time and turn a blind I to the others around them. All in all, Covid precautions are pretty lax at Jay.... Full Review

Jay Peak is NOT enforcing any basic COVID precautions. Many people in lift lines do not wear masks and the management does not seem to care. At chair lifts not right at the main lodge almost no one bothers with masks or does jot ha e them on properly. There is absolutely no effort to have social distancing (spacing people out) in the lines. This is not a place to ski if you are concerned about Covid.... Full Review

Long story short (until the next major snow storm; 24+ inches), don't go. Most of the slopes are closed and of those open, they are mostly ice with a small coating on top. The most frustrating part for me was they have the ability to make snow, which would open at least 20% more of the mountain, but they don't. Won't? Can't? Don't know. There are guns presiding over closed slopes on the lower half of the mountain with no hoses connected to them. I talked to a local, and he told me (hear say) they count on natural snow. There you have it.... Full Review

Terrible conditions, a small dusting of snow on a bunch of ice. For the money Jay should make more snow. $90 for no trails, no snow, for the price it isnt worth it. Maybe later in the season, but Jay needs to step up their game, really disappointed that such a beautiful place sucks so hard.... Full Review
