Firsthand Reports

Spring in February. Not ideal but not a bad day Wednesday. The conditions were highly variable. Some trails like Taft were beautiful, some were mashed potatoes, some were boiler plate, and some had rivers running down the middle. It was in the 50s and sunny. Almost the whole mountain was open. They have a good base on north facing slopes. South facing are getting thin with some bare patches.

Had a great day at the Woods on Saturday. Groomers did a great job and conditions were good. Surprised that the crowds weren't that bad. Saturday night's snow should freshen things up.

People like to complain. Let’s see. Warm then cold = icy. Plus most resorts are done major snowmaking. Don’t go skiing if it’s that bad.

nice fresh snow in the morning. Ice underneath showed up in the afternoon. Nice overall but challenging conditions. It will be interesting to see what they do with grooming over night, because there is lots of great snow to work with.
