We've been skiing at Bromont for over 30 years. We've seen constant improvements year after year. But for the past few years, we've been regularly frustrated by the lack of communication from Bromont Montagne d'Experience to its pass holders. On December 23rd, we went to the mountain. P5 was open at 8:50 a.m. when we arrived. At 9:00 a.m., the chairlift wasn't running. I asked the attendant: no problem, it would start in 10-15 minutes and you could go up around 9:30 a.m. Okay, we took our time putting on our boots and were in line at 9:25 a.m. We waited there for 40 minutes. The first skiers went up at 10:05 a.m. The reason? Load shedding! It's an agreement with Hydro-Québec whereby they will reduce the amount of electricity consumed on days of extreme cold. However, Hydro-Québec only informs them the day before when there will be load shedding. Why not inform customers? They may have posted a note on the website, but when we checked the site at 7:00 AM, there was no notice. FRUSTRATING!!! They take us for granted!
