I live in the Pacific Northwest and have skied every single resort in Oregon. After all my travels, Bachelor has become my favorite Oregon ski area. While it’s occasionally oppressive winds conditions can be a drag, the majority of the time the weather is excellent. Bachelor is higher in elevation than most other Ski areas, as such they maintain really good below freezing temps. This really helps preserve the snow conditions. My son grew up learning on Bachelor. We started on the bunnies and eventually he can ski the summit and beyond. Bachelor is his favorite too. He loves their terrain parks. I personally love skiing the summit and back bowls. It’s steep and deep on the summit…which is exactly the way I like it. Because it’s the NW there is a high probability that the snow base is stellar. This year is no exception. The snow depth and quality this year at bachelor are excellent. Long story short, Mount Bachelor has something for everyone. Kids all the way to experts can find something entertaining on the mountain. And while you’re at try out their new lift “cloud chaser” it opens up a really great part of the mountain. The last time I went to bachelor (last weekend), I pretty stayed on cloud chaser the whole day. Virtually no lift lines and tons of fresh tracks to be had.

Mt. Bachelor - snowed all day, visibility is ok though. Really easy to find untouched fields of snow through out the mountain, hardly any icy patch - © ditf
