OnTheSnow users rate and review the resorts they visit for characteristics such as terrain, après-ski, family-friendly amenities, terrain parks, and more. Banff Sunshine came out on top as the Best Overall Resort.

Banff Sunshine is home to more than 130 marked trails and 3,300 acres of skiable terrain across three massive mountains—boasting more than 3,500 feet of vertical drop. You’ll find everything from accessible beginner chairs to wide-open, above-treeline runs and powder-filled bowls. Banff Sunshine is one of the three iconic resorts that make up SkiBig3 within Banff National Park. Just north of the town of Banff is Mt. Norquay, known as the training grounds for Olympic and World Cup athletes and the only Banff National Park ski resort with night skiing. Then just 36 miles (59 km) up the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) is Lake Louise Ski Resort, one of North America’s largest resorts, with 4,400 acres of skiable terrain across four mountains, and featuring everything from long cruising runs to glades to chutes to some of the Canadian Rockies’ most exciting wide open bowls.
