The Stifel Birds of Prey World Cup has been a fixture on the ski racing circuit since 1997. Beaver Creek, which describes itself as “where winter begins,” hosts several competitions over the weekend, including two downhills, a super-G, and giant slalom. - Getting there. It’s an easy 2- to 2.5-hour drive on I-70 from Denver to Beaver Creek. There’s also shuttle service from Denver, such as Epic Mountain Express.
