Mt Peter is a smaller-scaled, non-intimidating place for beginners and never-haves to learn. Chairlifts are gentle but with lots of stopping because of beginners wait times can get a little long considering how short the runs are. That said, the crowding is nowhere near as bad as many other places and the wait times are never that bad. Instructors are enthusiastic and good -- it's a great place to learn. Advanced skiiers are there, let's face it, because their kids are learning there. They do a great job maintaining the snow on the mountain, considering what they can be up against -- this season has had diabolically bad weather but they manage to make the snow actually fresh and usable even under horrible climate conditions. You're paying for convenience and you do get value for money. I find Mt Peter well organized, friendly, and working hard for beginners.
