Mt. Bohemia = skier's paradise. Tons of natural snowfall (270"+ on average), steeps, chutes, cliffs, trees, and bumps galore. They don't groom, they don't make snow, and they don't cater to anyone but skier's and rider's that like to live on the edge. Bohemia's terrain makes it a place that only the most committed and loyal skier's will venture too and their location (about as far north as you can travel in the Upper Peninsula) all but guarantees that even on its most crowded days, lift lines will be next to nothing and you'll often find yourself all alone on your run of choice. You can often find powder in the trees days after the last snowfall. Runs are long as both chair lifts cover the entire vertical and they leave your legs burning similar to western resorts. The nightlife may leave a bit to be desired, but a day of skiing at Bohemia leaves you wiped out...nightlife isn't the reason you head to Bohemia. All the same, the North Pole Bar and Grill at Bohemia has friendly bartenders and its fair share of characters and good times. All in all, Bohemia is hands down the best in the mid-west and can definitely hold its own against any resort out there. Can't wait to get back!
