Snow Reporter Comments: It's a beautiful Friday here at Pleasant Mountain, and we're rolling right into the weekend with great conditions and even better vibes. We're open today from 8:30am to 8pm, with Pine Quad, Summit Express, Rabbit Run, and Lil Pine spinning all day and into the evening. Sunnyside Triple runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and Snow Pine Carpet is open 10am to 3pm for lessons.As of this morning, the snow hasn't started yet, but it's on the way. We're expecting 3 to 5 inches tonight, setting us up for a fresh Saturday. Today you'll find solid mid-winter surfaces across the mountain, with corduroy this morning and primarily hard pack this afternoon. Cloudy skies with light, variable winds and temperatures climbing into the mid-30s will make for comfortable cruising. It's a great day to log your laps before the new snow rolls in tonight.Current the sun is out and breaking up cloudy skies this morning. Groomers finished their passes of our slopes early this morning and the snow is setting up for first tracks.Blizzard's Pub will be the place to be later on with live music from Jordan Kaulback from 5 to 8pm. We're also hosting the Fryeburg Academy Alumni Event from 6 to 8pm in Blizzard's, so expect things to be lively and a little packed. Mountain Haus, Beer Haus, the Cafeteria, East Lodge and Blizzard's are all open at various times and ready to keep you fueled.Let's stack some turns today and get ready for a fresh refresh overnight. Pleasant Mountain is celebrating their 75th year of skiing and riding in Maine, making it the longest operating Mountian in the state. The mountain has glade skiing in Sherwood Forest for intermediate skiers; advanced skiers can explore the glade areas off the east side. A learning center, conveniently located in front of the base lodge, features a surface lift available at no cost which parents can use to introduce their kids to skiing or boarding without having to buy a lift ticket. Pleasant Mountain offers several on-slope dining options and on and near-slope lodging.
