<p>Saddleback Ski Area opened in 1960.&nbsp;<span>Saddleback features the most extensive beginner terrain in the northeast, with four miles of gentle sloping trails that are found below the base lodge and away from the rest of the mountain. Their ski and snowboard school boasts the lowest student to instructor ratio in North America. In addition to their beginner services, Saddleback has a top notch and unique base lodge, affordable skiing and riding and all of Saddleback's mountain lodging has ski-in/ski-out access.</span></p>

Accommodations for 400 in trailside condominiums.  Variety of inns and other condos are available in Rangeley.

Restaurant, lounge,and ski shop at area.  Lessons and rentals available.  Childcare available for children 2 to 6 years, nursery available for children under 2.
