A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
I spent half a week here with friends, and it easily became my favorite ski trip to date. The conditions were absolutely incredible, and the staff and amenities in and around the resort were truly special. From the moment we stepped out of our airport shuttle, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality and treated like family throughout our stay. I can’t wait for my next trip back to Tamarack!

I had the opportunity to check out Tamarack Resort with some friends this February, and we had a great experience. The Resort looks and feels brand new with friendly staff and very well organized. The lift lines were short and a quick process. My favorite spot is the newly constructed Mid Mountain Lodge which is a great place to meet up after a couple of runs in the morning. My favorite trails are Upper to Lower Serenity all the way to the bar, Seven Devils, at the bottom of the mountain to pick up some refreshments. Overall, we had a great time, and I am looking forward to going back this December with the family.

I love Tamarack Resort! It is the most convinient resort I've been to in the US. The proximity from our condo to the lift, food court, shop, rentals and most importantly to the Reserve and to the Seven Devils Tap Room is unprecedented. Reserve food is amazing and tap room concept for a ski resort is great too. I've stayed there with owners who own a home and they have special home owners access to private lift lines and private club and gym. All within the same area and easily accesible. This is unique resort with a friendly and helpful staff to make sure your stay is memorable. I am looking forward to visiting in the summer to try out the golf course, which looks amazing on the videos I've seen and also to experience the amazing lake and all the activities.

Have been going to Tamarack for the past 5 years. It's been amazing to see all of the progress they have made. The terrain has improved, their new employees are amazing, and all of the new additions like the golf course are next-level. I see a bright road ahead for this resort.

I have heard about Tamarack Resort for years, explored it on the map, web, trail maps, etc., and once I finally got the chance to visit from Oregon, my overall experience is that it's WAY bigger than it looks, and the variety of terrain is a perfect mix of green, blue, black, and back-country-style advanced terrain. I didn't realize how long the runs from top to bottom would be, until my legs started burning on my first T-to-B run. 2,800 foot elevation drop is no joke. The amenities, village, staff, food, accommodations... everything was top notch. I recommend getting here as soon as possible, as it's definitely poised to draw bigger and bigger crowds. It's a world-class resort, built with no expense spared, and I'd confidently say it's gotta be one of the most up-and-coming destinations in the country for year-round mountain and lake adventure.
The skiing is very good for this size of mountain. Lift tickets inexpensive. Although only one 'main' lift from the base area to mid-mountain, the overall run/terrain access is fairly good from there and on up to the top. Honest run ratings. Not crowded at all during mid-week. The base area/village is laid out nice and includes most of the basics, but they have a ways to go to be a full-scale resort. Only 2 legit dining options unless you want pizza. Seven Devils Taphouse is a good place to hang out. But they desperately need a regular bar - like a ski bar with a vibe. My experience was that service is very good. Overall good and I'd visit again.

Living in the valley for over 10 years, we have seen a huge change from a local, half open mountain to a want to be Aspen vibe. Having access to magic carpet it's awesome, but it's all about timing to get good parking or it literally can be a nightmare with a toddler. Staff is awesome, mid mountain lodge opened and is beautiful but lacks being outdoors with big tvs. Mid mountain only takes credit cards, so don't be lame like us and try to pay in cash. Bathrooms lack baskets or anywhere to hang a mitten?? We love tamarack but sure hope it doesn't turn to just be a private mountain for tamarack home owners.
Cool place, but so many things could be better.

Love this resort. The village is finally complete and adds a great compliment to the mountain. Wish there was a little more apres vibe though

Not much to do. Expensive for the size. Really poorly managed if you’re used to Utah, WY level ski resorts. If you’re going to venture all the way out there, go to another resort - not worth the trip.

I had reservations for March 5th, 2024. Ketchum received 12-16 inches of snow and it was not safe to travel to Ketchum. ID. Tamarack has a 3-day cancelation terms and did not refund my money.
