If looking for an all around great family ski resort without long lift lines, look no further. While Tamarack has a colorful past, it's hard times are in the past. The amount of $ invested into the resort over the past 5 years is staggering - new lifts, brand new village, 7 food and beverage venues, mid-mountain lodge opening next year. ... Full Review

Beautiful resort. Process of buying lift passes and renting equipment is fragmented into several separate parts, in different buildings. Flow is not intuitive and the staff is not proactive, helpful, or cordial. Rather that directing customer traffic, they sit and wait for you to approach and ask what to do next and where to go. With only 1 of 4 stations open, one person sat at the desk to type info in the computer and do nothing else, while another pulled the boots for the patron to try on. Then they both sat at the computer talking as they waited to see if the boots fit the patron in front of us. Rental payment on one end of outdoor dome lift tickets on the other end of the dome. Ski and snowboards rentals in one dome...boots in a different dome. It took nearly an hour to rent equipment on a day with almost no line to wait in (just one person in front of us). I heard two other groups complaining in lift lines specifically about poor flow and rude staff, so mine was not an isolated experience. If you haven't been to this resort before, plan an extra hour to figure out the rental process. ... Full Review

Very friendly resort with great runs. Prices are more affordable than any other mountain in the region and plenty of rental accommodations. Now that there are more restaurants in the new village area, my family can relax and eat where they want.... Full Review

Took my family toTamarack feb 2020. Flew into Boise. Stayed at a cottage onsite which were wonderful. Snow conditions were great. The effort this resort put into the grooming each night is world class. Good steady long pitches for ripping corduroy. Could find fresh lines on demand. Village was being opened. Can tell it was Well thought out and will have a wonderful set up for Apre ski that one cannot find in many resorts. Overall amazing spot for the whole family. No lines, no crowds, we found Tamarack to have great conditions for all.... Full Review

Upper mountain is where the fun is at. Good pow open spaces, great variety. Mid mountain runs very challenging for "blue"runs. Call them dark blue!!! Steeper, with icey groomers, it's best to wait for them to warm up, but then you've lost 1st tracks.Sharpen edges.Only one real green run, Waltz, with a very long single track out, that can get icey fast. Frustrating.... Full Review

at the end the sky patrol came and pick me up, was terrible, no signage and one entrance for a snowmobile road was open, I took it and was the end for my trip. my son 14y was exhausted to much walking, I DONT RECOMEND THIS PLACE FOR BEGINNERS, ALSO ADVANCED snowboarders need to put plenty attention of the trials, close the resort at 4 pm and you might end it stuck on a road, they end it up giving me money back. ...
