Wonderful asset to the Treasure Valley
Caution: Some guests may suck at life
Full review
Bogus is one of the few remaining non-profit ski areas and is a tremendous value to the Treasure Valley. They strive to engage the community to provide accessible, affordable and fun year-round mountain recreation and education. The new CEO has done an awesome job with the mountain and it's apparent in the summer and winter operations being enhanced significantly during his tenure. Hopefully, he sticks with us and continues this awesome trajectory.
Sure the road to Bogus "builds character" and when it hasn't snowed for a while the conditions get tracked out. Personally I find those days not nearly as much fun as powder days. That doesn't deter from the idea that Bogus Basin is a 5-star operation. Some of these 1-star reviews that I've just wasted my time reading were for Allianz Insurance. One was even for a bathroom experience on opening day. Hilarious! If you know your kid sucks at life don't buy insurance to cover the high likelihood that your kid continues to suck. I can understand your frustration but the one-star you dropped here should go to your kid for sucking at life and if that's a tough place that that star then keep the one-star for yourself for allowing such a monumental suckfest to continue. It may be wise to refrain from writing reviews about your reproduction regret and reallocate that time to teaching your offspring the value of enjoying the outdoors and attempt to instill an appreciation of the work involved with that money wasted. Don't continue to expend your precious resources here by writing a review about an insurance company on a website dedicated to mountain experiences. Go hug that little quitter of yours and promise to bring them back to the mountain on a sunny day.
Bogus runs daily operations and it looks like they will begin night operations on the 21st of December for the 19/20 season. With one of the least expensive lift tickets for both day and season passes, they will inevitably have to run a lean operation. With that in mind, they somehow continue to make our experience better. I'm stoked for the new high-speed quad they've installed for the 19/20 winter. So many more night skiing/riding hot laps that we will get to appreciate.
I don't usually write reviews but those are just a couple of reasons I'm giving this mountain a 5-star review and maybe that will balance out the parents who can't give their kid one-star in the love metric and for the Snowflake who pooped on the seat and blamed the mountain for it. We know you pooped on the seat Snowflake.

Sorry if any of this review comes across as abrasive but maybe it's good to understand that if you fling turds at a solid (my opinion) organization you may get some of that poop on you. And now that I'm thinking about it, maybe getting dookie on them is just par for the course for ole Snowflake there. Should have seen that coming I guess.
If you are reading reviews for motivation or to decide on whether or not you should go skiing/boarding just get out there and have some fun. You need it more than you know. Bogus is great and it's only getting better.
