Great for ct. even though warm /rain awesome coverage. Lot of kids having fun. Staff is great for children. Best value is midweek 12 pack. Can ski all day and night versus 4 or 8 hours. Great if you come and go in sane day.

  • Great for ct
  • May have stopped grooming 2nd time for evening

this mountain can be very dangerous due to the formation of huge ice chunks and otherwise thin icy terrain. if conditions are favorable, its great though still way too expensive. typically conditions are iffy to terrible.

  • icy, over crowded, over priced

I enjoy the convenience of this mountain but there are always the last to open & the first to close in Connecticut. They do a poor job making snow and maintaining it. There is too much congestion at the bottom mostly due to a terrain Park that infringes on the ski Trail. Night skiing is dangerous due to insignificant and outdated lighting system.

Great for families and teens, lodge looks out on trials so you can watch your kids ski.

  • Night skiing, good grooming, staff, lodge
  • Expensive for a small mountain

I was not expecting much from this tiny mountain but was thoroughly impressed with what they had to offer. It's a perfect place to go to do a 4 hour pass. I was concerned I'd get bored with the limited options but the terrain was surprisingly diverse for such a small place. The way that many of the runs fan outward really extends the distance you get out of them. It was a super friendly place and easy to get in and out of. It was also not at all crowded when we went, but still busy with activity, a nice balance. I highly recommend it for families and beginner skiers and intermediates who don't have the time to get up to the bigger mountains in VT.

  • Family friendly, better terrain than I expected, good value, night skiing

Great place for families to come. Upper level of the lodge looks onto the base area. Great Rental Staff. Very friendly and attentive Ski School Staff

  • Great place to learn how to ski. Beginners Area -Sunnyside-is away from the main mtn. First timers program. Beginners don't need to worry about a ski lift, they have a conveyor belt to take you to the top of Little Joe.
  • No negatives

Best mountain to go skiing in Connecticut, without leaving the state. The staff there is unbelievable, I brought my daughter to ski sundown 5 times for 5 1 hour private lessons. She has done no prior skiing at all, the first time she was in the beginner section and by the last time she was cruising down Satan's Stairway and Gunbarrel. Thank you ski sundown, can't wait for this winter!
