It’s snowing!!! Some good runs. Still better than east coast skiing. Westwood lift line moves fast.

Tolerable on groomed greens and blues but so little terrain open. Lines long, but they move. A day on skis is better than a day not on them!

Groomed runs are skiable, but for late December coverage is still thin with noticeable patchiness. The Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin remain closed, and off-piste terrain isn’t in yet. A couple of solid storms would make a big difference.

Dec 14 - 19. VAIL lower Avanti should have been opened, glad I got some runs in before the hordes and the very thinning snow got used up … Jet stream not our friend this year
