I've been skiing at Vail since I was 4 and I have never had a bad time. They get so much snow and there is powder to be found days after storms. The Bowls are open, huge and powdery and are truly unique. You can hit Sun up or down for tress, open space, and any thing in between. China and Tea Cup provides good intermediate skiing as well as some of the hardest Vail has to offer. The Mongolias and Siberia are open and usually untouched although a little hard to get in/out of. And Blue sky always has great snow and great tree runs/steeps and cliffs. the front side is truly amazing. Avant provides zooming groomers, bumps, and everything in between. Northwoods is crowded but some of the best bombs, groomers, clips, and overall skiing on the mountain. Highline is super tough and tricky but provides great bump skiing. Mid Vail gets super crowded but provides bumps, cliffs, and groomers galore. Eagles nest however, is not hit at all and has great groomers and bumps without a lift line. My only complaint would be the crowds at Vail but eventually, you learn when things are not hit hardest and ski there. the lift tickets are pricy but Epic passes are well worth the deal.
