I saw more serious injuries in three days of skiing at Keystone than in the past 5 years of skiing at other western resorts. It was all due to a combination of out of control and reckless skiing (predominantly on their "family" ski run, Schoolmarm). The "yellow jacket" patrollers were not allowed to leave their posts (when they were present) and were completely ineffectual at controlling the day skiers and snowboarders coming up from Denver. My wife was taking a ski class and was knocked down by a reckless snowboarder who cussed at the ski class and ran off. Until there is better enforcement and better separation of beginners from the yahoos blazing down beginner slopes this cannot be considered a family friendly resort.
