INTERMEDIATES BEWARE THE BEAVERS!! A-Basin increased their ski-able terrain this year with the Beavers and Steep Gullies. Although this area is great for experts like me, the "Blue" groomed paths to the bottom include long sections that are as steep as many "Black" runs at Keystone, Breck and Copper. We saw several terrified intermediate skiers on them, and I'm pretty sure one woman is still up there. Mainly the Beavers is for tree skiers like me, and some of the areas are VERY steep and tight, more than one would expect. Glades on the skiers' far left are the easiest.
