Beautiful weather for the true ski bum! Brutal for the fair weather riders. Cold, windy, dropping fresh powder like crazy. Lower lifts are the only ones open, making for crowded lift lines, and many of those lifts lead to the Black runs only. Still, better than the office!

Weekend report for Valentine’s Day and Day after. Saturday Feb 14 & 15. Snow was packed powder on groomers with very little ice patches on moderate slopes. Conditions good considering the lack of new snow for a long time. Stuck to groomers and Alpine Medows in the am, turned to slush throughout the day. Coverage was mixed, but not many unexpected rocks. Immigrant was good in the afternoon.

Alpine was nice yesterday. It’s a little thin on Lakeview and Sherwood lifts. Front side of Alpine was sweet! At Palisades, Shirley and Gold Coast have nice groomers today. Snow is a little sticky in the moguls, and where it’s not groomed ice/crud combo. But overall temp is nice, not too windy.
