A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Terrible experience for beginners – I felt completely misled. I booked a beginner group lesson, which included a mandatory lift pass, but received zero instruction. The instructor didn’t teach, didn’t help, and didn’t take us to the lift.
As a first-time skier, I was left confused, alone, and completely unsupported. When I asked staff why we weren’t taken to the lift, I was told it was because I didn’t ask. That is unacceptable – how would a beginner know what to ask for?
I couldn’t use the lift pass, couldn’t take the lesson, and was refused a refund. Staff claimed they weren’t responsible for the instructor. No receipt was given, and everything was handled verbally without accountability.
This was a complete waste of money and an incredibly stressful experience for a beginner. Do not recommend this place if you’re new to skiing. They are not equipped to support first-timers and take no responsibility when things go wrong.

I visiyed Perisher this year first time; mainly for curiosity more than anything. Spent 8 days here, had a great time... but was it worth it?!?!?!...SORRY BUT NOOOOOOO!!!...
Everything is way over priced!!!... and l'm comparing it to overseas resorts!!!... thats saying a huge mouhfull in itself!!!
Still, there seems to be a lot of people that go there... but cannot understand why at these prices!!!
Overseas resorts are way more better than any ski resort here in Australia.
I've seen offers this year to these resorts... and l must say..." this years 8 days in Perisher will be last skiing ever in Austalia!!! "
Sorry!!!

I have skied at perisher twice for interschools and spent 2 days each time there exploring the mountain. What a waste of time and money, the terrain is almost flat and the runs are insanely short. The lift queues are horrendous and most of the lifts are fixed grip so they are slow. There are no actual restaurants to dine at, and the runs are packed with beginners anywhere you go. Great resort if you want to see snow for the first time, that's about it.

Today, 14th September, I looked at the price to ski the last day of the season, tomorrow.
With ONLY 11 lifts running they are still charging the exorbitant rate for an adult $189 and certainly not the best conditions. Certainly won’t be skiing Perisher any more, like so many others. Just too expensive and we went every year since 1990.

For beginners, the lessons were pretty insightful. However, the Staffs were rude especially if you unintentionally lose stuffs, to the ladies attendants in smiggin hole especially. Rude people working in the cafe too and you can’t stay in their cafe after lunchtime. Toilets are not well maintained. And no space for kids after 3 or 4pm.

Disappointed. Travelled down from Sydney with my two young kids for our first ski trip. My youngest (2) didn't fancy skiing on a cold icy day meaning I had to look after him. Having prebooked a lift pass and now unable to use it i had hoped for a refund on my lift pass, but no refund was forthcoming. So if you are thinking of bringing kids here for a first ski trip id suggest you dont. Perisher is more interested in getting money out of you than creating a resort that youd want to return to. I certainly wont return,I would advise you dont either.

Covid is being handled very well.
A big thanks to all the staff in this strange year.

Don't waste your money and head to Europe or Japan. This place is so expensive whether its the food or lift tix, it's just too much for short runs, crappy snow, and long lift queues. Being part of the worlds most expensive lift ticket brand (Epic Pass) has really driven the prices up and hasn't helped improve infrastructure. There is very little here to challenge any skier except beginners. Did I mention the man-made crappy snow......
