Ski and snowboard enthusiasts from around the world:

We have been proud to provide you with free access to snow reports, resort guides and more, and we are beyond grateful for your readership and contributions to our community over the years.

Unfortunately given the changing media landscape, Mountain News Corporation has experienced financial declines in recent years. With additional economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic now facing our business, it is not financially viable to continue operating.

Mountain News Corporation and our OnTheSnow and Skiinfo websites will be shutting down. We will explore the possibility of selling, partnering, or contributing assets to another media outlet if there is an opportunity to allow for a consistent or enhanced online experience. For inquiries about Mountain News Corporation, please email Feedback_OTS@mountainnews.com.

We want to thank our loyal employees for their tireless work over the years to bring great information to all of you. We take comfort knowing that our collective passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding will certainly live on.

We’ll see you on the mountain.

Val di Fiemme Ski Resorts

One of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps and majestic gateway to the Dolomites, Val di Fiemme means great skiing. The area features the double opportunity for high-quality downhill and Nordic skiing, offering state-of-the-art facilities, countless after-ski activities and a rich calendar of events in an area renowned for its age-old traditions and culture.
The Val di Fiemme-Obereggen skipass allows to ski on the snows of the Cermìs Alp, the Ski Center Latemar (Obereggen-Pampeago-Predazzo), Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia, Lavazè Pass-Oclini Pass and Rolle Pass, which offer over 100 km of downhill runs, 50 state-of-the-art ski-lifts, artificial snow systems, snow parks and two sled tracks. Ski Center Latemar is the largest and most important centre for downhill skiing, straddled between the provinces of Trento and Bolzano. These five ski areas are located in uniquely beautiful, natural settings, including Latemar, Sassolungo, Sella, Rosengarten, Cimon della Pala and the Lagorai chain.
Val di Fiemme is also renowned for cross-country skiing - world championship competitions are often held here - and it features cross-country trails as well as rinks, which satisfy even the most demanding skier. Lavanzè Pass and Lago di Tesero Cross-Country Ski Centres are famous and, together with the Marcialonga track and the Bellamonte circuits, offer a total amount of 150 Km trails. It is also possible to ski by night.
