A vast area to ski with only the best uplift system
A low resort, warms up in March

Full review

I have skied from Soll many times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't go here if you want to scare yourself on difficult down hills, but if you like covering great distances and like varied, well groomed slopes and great uplifts then this is the place to be. The piste map tries to cover the whole area and therefore loses some detail, but once you find your way around you'll find it all links up well. The resort is excellent at night. "Bloodshot Eyes" perform in the hotel bars at least 3 nights a week and more recently "Frog on the Tyne" were there most other nights. This can end up with most people on table tops singing along. There is also the local disco catering for the early morning revelers. Having skied Saalbach, Sella Ronda, Sauze D'oulx, Tignes, Chamonix and Seefeld, you will not beat Soll for the overall experience. Once into March the temperature rises and the snow gets soft and slushy at lower altitudes. It is cheaper for beer and food on the hill than most other resorts and the hostelries are good. The cost of the ski pass is value for money. If you've skied Soll and enjoyed it, then try Seva or Saalbach for a change.
