Great family resort with plenty of easy green trail options, yet still challenging for more experienced riders. The scenery and snow was beautiful too. Lodge and some lifts need updating though.
I am a middle-aged, relatively novice skier. I like easy greens. Greek Peak offered many more options for me than I am used to. The resorts I usually go to generally have only two crowded trails that suit my needs. It was nice to have more options. It was
Lift 2 needs a serious facelift. It is falling apart. The seats are ripped with the insides coming out and the wooden backs are on their last leg. The lodge is pretty outdated too. Aside from that, the only other complaint I have is that the Lower Arcadia

Greek Peak allows my family the freedom to ski just about every condition and level of difficulty I can find anywhere else. I've skied roughly 20-30 larger areas from New England to Utah, Colo., Calif., and British Columbia. Greek has the variety I search for. It is full of surprises. This year there is a new glade, Medusa, that is a real challenge but has legitimately been deemed a blue square. Kids love it! I love it! This is in addition to the other half-dozen more expert tree runs. They were all safe - given that skiing in the trees is like skiing a mogul-field with obstacles! Remember- don't look at a tree!
the variety of terrain, especially all of the glades. There seems to be a new glade every year!es

Kind of a sh:?t show most of the time relative to mountain operations. Make snow which is good, but poorly organized lift lines, poorly trained and committed lifties, and never run enough lifts and down a lot. 20-30 minutes between runs is too much for 750 of vertical. Ugh.
Better than the other hills in central NY
Long lines for nothing. Lifts alway down.

Fun local ski/snowboard resort, lots of families, great place to learn and progress. Greek Peak maximizes the 950ft vertical drop across 3 peaks with a good mix of trails and terrain options, including some glades and decent park features. Definitely gets crowded on weekends! Some lifts are older and not always working, which makes crowding even worse. Night skiing is a nice option. Trails are not always open and snow conditions are quite variable, which can result in wet/icy days, so best to check local weather conditions. The lodge is crowded and not the cleanest facility ever. Parking is okay. Apres ski is very limited to almost nonexistent. Avoid their undercooked grill food to stay clear of food poisoning. We now bring our own food. RFID for lifts works well and attendants are generally polite and helpful. Great value and lots of fun when the conditions are good!
Decent local ski resort, good rentals, great instruction staff, not too expensive
Small vertical drop, often icy, crowded on weekends/holidays, lifts not always fully operational, bad food

good choice when I get out the SYR airport, only 1 hr to this resort. Friday night pass, whole day pass in Saturday and Sunday. Then, come back to Miami at Sunday night.
easy to come
low miles

It’s worth the 14 dollar difference to drive a few extra minutes to Greek to avoid Song and Lab. It’s actually much bigger than the other 2 and can spend the whole day there!

This review is to truly send gratitude to the staff at Greek Peak. They are wonderful, helpful encouraging and friendly! Connor and Kevin, our childrens private instructors were phenomenal. Informative and professional, they exceeded our expectations. Sean (or Shaun or Shawn... so sorry I don't know the spelling!) the manager is a mild mannered gentle and calm man who could not go out of way enough for us. Tara at rentals is so experienced and can handle any issue. Jason who handles the skis and bindings, was so pleasant patient and mild mannered. And finally Kavleigh, the sweet young woman who fitted the children for boots, was so attentive to the children. What more could we ask for on our sons birthday.... and mind you they didnt even know. They naturally behaved like great humans because they are! Thank you all for such a beautiful day... perfection all around.
Great staff, fun mountain to navigate for children
None really except crowds on weekends but that is to be expected

After paying $90 for a day pass it was discouraging to wait for 30-45 minutes to get on the only operating lift in the base area that took me to mid mountain, where there was another line equally long to get to the top so it would be possible to ski another area with an operating lift. Being a Sunday afternoon it was crowded. And this situation continued most of the afternoon. Also, if someone’s RFID pass didn’t read the operators stopped loading chairs until they figured it out. Amid huge waiting lines 6 or more chairs we’re going up EMPTY. And the RFID finally worked. So priority was on someone slipping by that didn’t pay more than the paying customers waiting in extended lines due to the lift problems. Taking a break to give time for the lifts to be fixed, my party went to the restaurant/bar, which was JAMMED with unmasked people ( 3 deep at the bar ). There was no organization in the overflowing lift lines, so it was basically a mob, (thankfully staying patient) with lots of unmasked people jammed together. Basically the infrastructure for getting skiers to the top was almost non-functional. It’s mid January, so really no good reason for the two main lifts ( including the quad) to be shut down for long periods of time mid-day/ afternoon. Seems pretty profitable for the mountain tho… lots of tickets sold and then rocking’ the restaurant and bar as people tried to make the best of a bad situation. It really doesn’t matter how the slopes are if there is hardly any lift service or plan to manage crowds due to lift breakdown. Finally, attention to COVID guidelines posted by the resort were not followed by employees, and 3 indoor ticket sellers had masks below their nose and some under their chin. I expect employees to comply with the posted guidelines. And the bar/ restaurant was an OMICRON Petri dish. Very disappointed.
Lots of terrain
Multiple lifts down for most of Sunday

Grooming is terrible! !!!

I've been skiing at Greek from the age of 11. (59 yrs.) There have been some great improvements over the past 5yrs.BUT a big but. The Grooming was better in the 70s when snow making was archaic compaired to today.I don't get it. Death cookies even after a week of 2 feet of natural snow? Still love GP. Moving toward alternatives. Elk Pa. is one.
Many improvements
Grooming terrible.
