The most incredible steeps in North America and the friendliest staff anywhere
Steep terrain can be rough if you don’t bring your A-game

Full review

After skiing every single resort in western North America over 750m/2500 feet and close to 80 resorts in total, Taos takes #4 overall, behind only Whistler-Blackcomb, Big Sky, and Snowbird. Where should I start - Kachina is glorious, fabulous, terrifying and exhilarating. Taos is like a drug once it gets into your bloodstream - you are driven to return to get another fix. It’s worth noting the incredible job the resort has done to hone their customer service to the height of excellence. The base area and surrounding towns are quaint, cool and fun. It’s lack of easy acccessibility make this a rare treat that keep crowds away. I love Taos and recommend it strongly to every advanced skier.
