If you can ski expert terrain, the Chutes (when open - climate change hurting Sierra snowpack) at Rose are longer with a tenth of the Squaw Valley hassle of CA crowds , higher prices, and multiple lifts to get to Squaw’s headwall West face KT22. Plus you get post card views of Lake Tahoe on a couple runs. Fun safe runs for beginners. When Tahoe gets snow the only resort more fun is at lake level on the West Shore: Homewood where it feels you might ski right into the lake - awesome views, fun tree skiing in Hobbit Land. Swanky yummy food, especially at new lodge on Slide side and where u should Park and ski in the morning except tickets on other side and next exit up the 9,500 ft pass between Reno and Tahoe’s Income Village where the billionaires push around the millionaires. Good food in Incline Village 30 minutes away at Lake level. If you can’t ski well go to Flatstar (Northstar ) or Heavenly but u will be dealing with CA AZ crowds. Back to Rose: the help is nice. The bathrooms are bigger in the new lodge, but if you are not obese, all the bathrooms are just fine.

Best coverage in Tahoe and I'm happy to see the snow guns going on Saturday afternoon keeping the busy pistes fresh.

Downside is an unfairly increased lift ticket price -- delivered wityh the excuse tha - © Bobby
Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe - Nice day with some good snow still left over from the day before. Decent base but a lot of rocks still sticking out. One more storm needed. - © vape lord
Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe - Great day today. Even with lacking snow, it was really nice. Icy at end of day but in middle of only like 2 runs. Powdery snow all day. - © anonymous
Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe - Still very skiable but all groomers and the bare spots and hard parts get bigger the longer we go without snow. Today was very spring like - © Robert's iPhone
