Great placr wish the rstes were easier for a family of 4 etc but worth the trip

  • Great littoenplace m, 2 very good large lifts and smaller alo. Stays open late love night skiing herewer lifts., good snow usually amd snow making great staff pro shop, reasonable rentals great kids ski place
  • Its pricey on weekemds but lets be honest, all resorts are on weekends. Better lifts thsn any local places, better grooming and snowow and they are super busy on sats because its a good kids plave

Went yesterday for my first time and I will not be going back. It was chaos, super busy with no organized ski lines that wrapped the base of the hill, sometimes snaking uphill. I saw a handful of people ditching the line and hiking up the hill to get their turns. The price is astronomical for what you get.

  • Variety of terrain, and a good lodge
  • Chaos, poorly run, disorganized, way way over priced

Great find when I retired to continue to ski and instruct after leaving PA where I lived/taught at a bigger four season resort 60 miles east of Pittsburgh. Snow making is very good here and runs are varied to offer everyone fun, including terrain park. Lodge is updated with large window expanses looking at the slopes. Large outside patio at the slopes bottom with numerous patio tables and fire pit. Patio is heated to stay ice and snow free. Good bar and food service.

  • Family friendly updated resort.
  • Base area becomes congested

Been going here and other local ski areas for the last 5 years, It's larger than Timber ridge and closer to me than Cannonsburg.

  • Best ski area within reasonable driving distance of GR
  • Only one express lift, Michigan snow,

Great hill for beginners and intermediates who want to work on technique and can't make it up North or out West. Great family atmosphere. On weekends the outdoor grill is staffed by friendly dudes who serve burgers, hot dogs and Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Nice lounge and cafeteria with plenty of seating that is kept clean. Plenty of parking. The downside is that it's just a small hill. If you are expecting a big mountain experience then head West.

  • Friendly staff, snow-making
  • Not a huge vertical drip,. Prime time crowds

Realistically only 2 of the trails are in good enough condition to ride. The weather has just not been ideal so far this season.

The lodge is hands, down, the best in SW Michigan. This is not my favorite hill because the trail layout is odd. The quad lift ostensibly services the entire hill, but getting from it to the beginner (left) side is very steep. A less experienced skier or a crowd will force you down a more advanced run or a tricky crossover to the green run. This can be avoided by using some of the older lifts if they're open. The quad lift is also not that well managed. I've seen it go up with only one or two people because no one is directing traffic. It tends to be more crowded than nearby Timber Ridge.

  • Nicest lodge in SW michigan, decently variable terrain
  • Odd lift layout and tends toward ice

about as good as the Midwest gets

  • one lift gets you everywhere
  • everyone's in line for that lift

I've been going here since I was a kid. I'm now in my 40's and I take my kids here. I've been to nearly every ski resort in Michigan and out west. The reason I give it 5 stars is because this is the best place within 100 miles of Kalamazoo, Holland and Grand Rapids. They continue to make improvements to the lodge and hill and you can't beat the price when compared to others.

  • Affordable. Best in West Michigan.
  • It's not Colorado.
