Only 1 T bar to advance trails was open on the windy day to avoid refund. Magic carpet kept open even instructor was falling from it. Absolutely not safe for beginners. Wasted 1 day for doing nothing. The earliest return overshow is 1PM. Not recommended for advance booking.

  • Not a lot people
  • Not reliable lift and service subject to weather

The over snow just takes to long and isn’t really worth it in my opinion. The over snows are so late that if you book for 3:00 pm you don’t leave till 6:00 pm. It’s just a joke. They really need to fix there over snow

  • Great for beginners but for everyone the over snows are way too late
  • Not bad for the food and to get drinks sunscreen ect but a bit over priced

Well, I’ve been coming to Charlottes pass since 2013 with my family (wife and 2 daughters) it’s a great place, people here are awesome, we stay in a chalet for 7 days each time. Over the last few trips, the skiing is becoming worse and worse. Super expensive holiday, they charge full rates for lift tickets and the facility is unable to function even at a basic level. Snow patrol / lift management is under supported. Lifts are from the 1960’s and constantly fail. Not opening on time or remaining functioning with reliability. There’s only 4 lifts to maintain and upkeep. It is a pathetic failure of upper management to continue to ignore its ski guests. I don’t write a review like this lightly, this is 5 years of hoping it will improve but no.. as a family we won’t be returning and strongly advise any potential visitor, if you want to ski then look for other options. If you want a holiday in a beautiful family friendly location then Charlottes Pass is fantastic. But a WARNING IF YOU WANT TO SNOW SKI . It’s become very disappointing. For this trip, there’s plenty of snow but lifts aren’t running (there’s 1 lift called a POMA) that is running about 150m with a deep lift line, and I can walk to the top of it faster than you can get the lift there? I’m 3 days in and haven’t caught a lift yet.. I think the owner of the Charlottes Pass resort lease is squeezing chalets so they leave and they just buy them up till he owns them all, (this just happened to the iconic Stilwell lodge) THEN the lift situation will likely improve. I’m just gutted.

  • Awesome family place
  • Ski lifts are old/under serviced and unreliable.

We love everything there except for the magic carpet organisation. That carpet is settled for little kids and the beginners but it is very tricky to get in. I saw many adults and children fall down there. No staff sat at the downhill to support people enter the carpet. I can say it would take us 3/4 of time and energy just to step in - step out the carpet. I hope the new manager will do some changes there.

  • Great for beginner
  • Magic carpet

Have been going to charlotte pass since 1969 & have seen many changes ,some good some bad. When I went there this year I could not believe the shabby reno that has been done to the old chalet. This gracious old building is being fully " renovated " It is such a shame to see such cheap & nasty work being done. Then I hear they are going to knock down the old "cell block " ,how stupid. why not turn it into a bar / restaurant with a deck on the mountain side ?People may have money but that does not mean they have good taste .

  • Great family resort
  • New renos on chalet

We have been skiing there for a number of years and it offers what a family needs especially when you have a disable child. All mountain staff are friendly and patient. The ski school has been terrific. Whils the resort is small it has enough to challenge most skiers and there are little to no queues so you get more skiing.

This is the ideal family ski resort. From most lodges you can see the whole mountain, there are only five lifts giving you sufficient variety from bigginers to advanced. It is extremely friendly and not overcorwded. It has lots of areas to ski of the main track if you are prepared to walk a little. We have been skiing there for the last five years and will continue to do so. Accommodation is good and the only way in is via oversnow transort keeping numbers low and skiing safe.
