Awesome terrain, fresh tracks for a week after a storm, open gate to the backcountry, old school lifts
Sometimes it rains, no bar, old school lifts

The terrain options are amazing at Eaglecrest -- steeps, glades, cliffs, etc. Large sections of semi backcountry terrain (accessible with a short hike). Seriously, one can find untracked lines almost any day of the season.
