Mt. Crescent Ski Area, located just 15 miles northeast of Omaha in the Loess Hills of Western Iowa, is like an oasis for snowsport enthusiasts in western Iowa and eastern Nebraska.  To ski or ride elsewhere they would have to drive hundreds of miles.  The Korby Fleischer family took over the reigns of the ski area during the winter of 2008 and has made several improvements breathing new life into the area.  Their son Chad was the National Downhill Champion in 1996 and 1998 and on the 1994 and 1998 Olympic Teams.

They added a terrain park, made improvements to the lighting system for night skiing and riding, widened some of the runs, added tubing, more snowmaking fire power and remodeled the two-story lodge adding a sun deck to the Mountain Café & Bar for those balmy spring days.  Equipped with the latest snowmaking system the Crescent's season normally runs from early December well into March.

The area boasts a 300-foot vertical drop, which is descent for the lower Midwest.  It offers 11 runs, a terrain park, tubing hill, and two chairlifts - a double and a quad - and a surface tow.

Crescent's season pass sale is underway and will end Nov. 1.  An adult pass is currently only $199.  Family passes are $716 for a family of four, $875 for five people, and $1,034 for six.  They also have a Senior Pass (65+) that is currently $151 and a Military Pass for $183.
