Timberline Resort in West Virginia is offering a summer season pass to ride its chairlift to the top of the mountain weekends starting Memorial Day weekend. The price is $191.50 if purchased by May 31. The price climbs to $225 beginning June 1. Individual scenic chair lift rides start at $7 per ride per person. An all day chairlift pass is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 years old and younger. Children under six are free.

The Timberline summit chair lift will operate Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It enables easy access to the Dolly Sods wilderness area and its pristine complex of hiking trails. Dolly Sods is a 17,371 nature preserve within the Monongahela National Forest. It stretches over three counties and has elevations of up to 4,700 feet above sea level.

Mountain biking also is available at Timberline. The full day mountain bike rate is $25 and the half day, or six hour, rate is $15 for adults and $10 for children. The hourly rate for bike rentals is $10 for adults and $7 for children. The chairlift rate with a bike rental is $15. 

Timberline's biking trails range from technical downhill courses to scenic cross country terrain.
