  • Saas Fee Hits Ten Feet of Powder

    Saas Fee's upper-slope snow depth has reached ten feet following another six inches of snow yesterday (March 19th). The resort's snow-depth to date has been above the seasonal average for several weeks now, one of the few resorts in Europe to be able to claim this after the prolonged warm start to the continent's winter. All of the resort's 22 lifts are operating.

  • Saas Fee and Zermatt Glisten

    Despite a serious snowfall last weekend, many parts of the Alps are still suffering from the worst early seasons for coverage in more than a decade. Temperatures in to early December were the warmest ever recorded making snowmaking impossible and even putting glacier ski areas, usually a safe bet whatever the snow cover at lower elevations, out of action.
