If we are lucky, as this system slams into the Cascades, we have the possibility of squeezing another .25” of water out of the clouds before it slumps over the hills. We are certainly located at the bottom end of the moisture band, but we could get anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of snow overnight. With the unsettled nature of the upper atmosphere there is a good chance of some gusty winds on Thursday, which could be a little chilly when coupled with 3,500’ freezing levels. Wednesday Night:Sky Cover: CloudyFreezing Elevation: 4,000’12hr Precip: 1-3”Wind Trends: Moderate, WestThursday:Sky Cover: CloudyFreezing Elevation: 3,500’12hr Precip: Trace amounts possibleWind Trends: Moderate with Strong Northwest gusts, 40mphThursday Night:Sky Cover: Mostly clearFreezing Elevation: 4,000’12hr Precip: Trace amounts possibleWind Trends: Strong West, gusting 40+mphExtended: As the wave begins to crash on Friday, we have another chance of continued snow showers. This moisture is associated with a warm front pushing up from the South; thankfully it's not looking particularly rainy at any point. As for the weekend, expect very warm temperatures and quite strong winds, but not much precipitation. Uphill Travel Update: See the above banner for the current status. Please visit guest services to get your 25/26 uphill travel card. This must be renewed free of charge for the season. Uphill travel may be prohibited at any time as mountain operations teams conduct avalanche mitigation. These lights are located by the Gondola trail map, at the bottom of Chinook, at the bottom of Discovery, and at the top of the Quicksilver lift shack.
