Crystal Mountain is the gem of Washington state ski areas.
The hill features terrain that appeals to the beginner, the intermediate, and the advanced skiier.
In 6 weeks, the ski school instruction got my kids from Level 1 to Level 5.
Northway is a dream for upper intermediate and advanced skiiers-filled with numerous bowls, gladed tree skiing, chutes, and lots of steeps. Green Valley is outstanding for intermediate/blue run skiiers wanting something a little more adventurous, but not ready for Northway.
Weekends can be a little crazy, but if you get away from Forest Queen and Chinook Express, the lines and crowds are minimal.
Numerous restaurants located all over the mountain also for your dining needs.
The only (very minor) drawbacks: Crystal doesn't offer night skiing or a tubing area for families.
Of course, sometimes the weather is a little nasty-but that is not a reflection on the skiing experience or the resort.
Can't really recommend Crystal Mountain enough.
