I was a passholder at Wintergreen winter 06/07. Skiied there most of the winter. Had a great season early and again late, mid season was a bit lean. Mountain is divided mainly between three lifts, one for green, one blue and one black. This layout helps keep the kiddies off the good stuff. The black runs have app. 1100 feet of vert, pretty good for VA. Wintergreen is hands down the best place to ski in VA. For the guy with all the gripes, we go to the mountains to ski not drink wine... If that's what you're in to there's a place for you, it's called Aspen. For the those of you who haved been here don't worry there are far more local rippers on skinny skiies wearing Carharts than folks looking for the wine tasting room.
