Full review

Burke is nice but lets be honest it has some major downsides. I loved the long runs and the intermediate and advanced trails offered on the upper mountain, but if this is your first time skiing or you are still a beginner this mountain is sorely lacking variety. Its nice that they have a beginner area and chair but its pretty limited and serviced by a double! As far as Vermont mountains go this is far behind most of the competition. It was also clear that if the natural snow hasn't been falling their snowmaking coverage is pretty lax. Typically I hear this isn't a problem but if you are planning to visit early in the season you could be dissappointed. Also this mountain is a trek for most of us and its hard to justify the extra drive while driving by so many other good mountains.
