Nestled in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the heart of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, one mile down the canyon from Alta, Snowbird is home to 2,500 acres of skier and rider accessible terrain. Averaging 500 inches of The Greatest Snow on Earth®, Snowbird’s base elevation sits at 8,100 feet while the Tram docks at 11,000 feet. Described by skier and riders as an intermediate to advanced mountain, Snowbird hosts 27% beginner terrain, 38% intermediate terrain and 35% advanced to expert terrain. One Aerial tram, six high-speed detachable quads, four doubles, and one conveyor lift service the 85 on-piste runs. With Salt Lake City International Airport being located 29 miles away, it’s a skier and rider reality to fly in and play in the same day.
