The Haslital Region mixes rural traditions with a modern outlook - including a thriving snowboard scene. Sporting alternatives includes three sledge runs (up to 10km long). There is also a Sherlock Holmes museum. It's possible to stay in the valley at Meiringen or higher up at Hasliberg (1000m) at the base of the main ski area, the two are linked by cable car.
Freestyle Park Alpenregion Brienz-Meiringen-Hasliberg - The professionally designed park at Mägisalp (1708 m above sea level) has four jumps (7, 12, 12, and 20 metres), one 4 m long slidebox, one 6 m long kinkrail, one 6 m long rainbowrail, one 15 m long and 6 m high cornerjump and one quarterpipe with rail plus 2 jumps for kids.
