Very family friendly atmosphere. The staff here are all (usually) really friendly. Their Snow Monster program is worth checking out if you want to hand over your kids for some winter sports fun & learning while you go and get your shred on.

Jack Frost is best for first timers and those getting into skiing or snowboarding. You will likely out-grow this mountain before the season is over. There are some challenging trails but they are over quickly. For a 2 hour drive (I'm coming from Queens, NY) there are some better options, but none I've experienced that has such a good family friendly atmosphere. So for a day with the kids, Frost is the place.

It does get crowded on the weekends; especially at the beginner lifts. The trails aren't really wide so be sure to yield!

Your lift ticket is also valid at Big Boulder; which has mostly terrain park.

Bring the kids, or if you just want a mellow session check out Jack Frost!
