Although it is known for being a family resort due to its limited challenges (and no other choice available on the form), it is rather hostile to kids skiing unattended by their parents. What used to be an amazingly safe and friendly place is no longer, especially if you are above the age of 10 without your parents right behind you to supervise your interactions with the resort. Kids skiing together are assumed to be troublemakers and are treated as such without provocation or issues and are just ignored when asking for service. Minor infractions are treated the same as major ones and the staff appears to fear for their jobs if they do not report on someone. This seemsto be driven by the new management which is indifferent at best and at the very least unprofessional.....it is clear that this group has not run a resort before. All in all the place might be good for the toddler set but past middle school it is not the greatest. Mystic or Boyce might be better if you are looking for a nice and inexpensive family experience with grade schoolers and below...the Springs for any one older than that. Would not go back.
