Hidden Valley is considerably smaller than Seven Springs, but it is also cheaper, less crowded and more fun. Do the lifts seem to take forever? Yes. Do you get down to the bottom of the slope way to fast? Yes. Are there inexperienced skiers and snowboarders running into you constantly on trails that are far beyond their ability levels? No. This is where Hidden Valley shines. Not only is it affordable, but you don't have a bunch of crazy kids trying to show off for their friends because it is a family friendly resort. If you're looking for a great ski resort in the $60+ lift ticket range, go to Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, NY. Seven Springs is not worth the rates they charge for lift tickets.
