Pros: Rlonger/wider trails. Trails that have fun turns. Solid terrain parks. Freindly staff.

I try to ride at Elk a few times a year. It's never crowded. Every body up there is pretty nice. The conditions are usually good.
Elk is trying to move into the present slowly but surely. Each time I'm there I see improvements.
Better Park features the last couple years. I was there last week and they added a fun mini park. Also, a couple of new rails and boxes in the other park. The jumps were medium sized but smooth. Well maintained features are always a plus. Good riders in the park, and they were all cool with us non-locals. My friends and I always have a good session there. There is a surface lift in the one park, nice, you can just stay in the park. This is cool because you can see everyone else in the park on the way back up.
The trails at Elk are pretty long. Some have cool turns and lines. The Kikapoo is really fun. I don't think it's open yet though.
Overall, Elk is as fun as you make it.
